Suzuki Recalls 2006 Grand Vitara and 2005-2006 XL-7 Due to Pulley Issue

Suzuki’s American division announced that it is recalling 46,549 2006 model year Grand Vitara and 2005-2006 model year XL-7 SUVs, due to a potential faulty tension adjuster pulley for the power steering and air conditioning drive belt.ad}The tension adjuster pulley has an outer portion that is built from plastic.

Repeated heat stress can cause the plastic to deteriorate, with pieces of the pulley breaking off. This could cause pieces of the pulley to get caught between the pulley and the drive belt.
